Nigeria’s 10th senate has assured Cross Riverians and Akwa Ibomites that the 2024 budget will address the nightmares and bad state of the Calabar-Itu Road.
President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, gave the assurance in Calabar while addressing newsmen on Friday 25, 2023, at Margaret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar upon his arrival for the thanksgiving service of Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, representing the Cross River Southern Senatorial District.
He expressed dissatisfaction about the Calabar-Itu federal highway as he noted that both States and commuters are affected.
He congratulated Governor Bassey Otu on his victory at the Appeal Court.
The Nigerian number two citizen was received by the Deputy Governor, Rt Honorable Peter Odey, Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, Speaker of the State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, APC State Chairman, Alphonsus Eba, Esq, members of the State Executive Council, and other dignitaries.
