The Vice Chairman of Biase Local Government Area, Hon. Ekuma Ngwu JP, has commended the Executive Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, for supporting capacity-building initiatives aimed at strengthening the skills and effectiveness of local government administrators in the state.
Hon. Ngwu gave the commendation after participating in a three-day capacity-building seminar for Vice Chairmen and Secretaries of Local Government Areas across Nigeria, held at Green Mind Hotel, Abuja.
The seminar, titled “Exclusive 3-Day Capacity Building Seminar for Vice Chairmen and Secretaries on Result-Oriented and Productive Service Delivery in Local Government Administration in Nigeria,” was organised by Leadership Resource Managers (LRM) to enhance leadership capacity, administrative efficiency, accountability and result-oriented governance at the grassroots level.
The Biase Vice Chairman expressed gratitude to Governor Otu for providing the opportunity for Vice Chairmen in Cross River State to sharpen their leadership skills and acquire modern knowledge required for improved service delivery.
He described the training as timely, impactful and enriching, noting that the experience and knowledge gained would significantly improve his approach to governance and contribute to strengthening local government administration in the state.
According to him, the Governor’s commitment to investing in human capital development among public officials reflects his administration’s determination to build a responsive and effective governance structure that delivers tangible benefits to the people.
Participants at the seminar were trained on policy implementation, effective representation, grassroots development, accountability mechanisms and innovative strategies for delivering people-centred services.
Hon. Ngwu also commended Leadership Resource Managers for organising the programme, which he said provided a valuable platform for collaboration, learning and exchange of ideas among local government administrators.
He assured that the knowledge acquired from the seminar would be deployed towards enhancing administrative effectiveness and improving service delivery in Biase Local Government Area.
