The Cross River State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Pastor Ekpenyong Ene Cobham, has charged staff of the Ministry to redouble their efforts and demonstrate commitment in the discharge of their daily duties. The Commissioner gave the charge on Monday through the Ministry's social media handle, while responding to warm reception and goodwill messages from staff at the Ministry's headquarters in Calabar. Expressing appreciation for the reception, Pastor Cobham said he was humbled by the show of warmth and pledged to work with the team to advance the mandate of the Ministry. “Thank you so much for the very warm wishes. I am humbled by the expression of warmth. I wish everybody the very best,” the Commissioner stated. He further urged staff to bring their best to work, stressing that the success of the Ministry depends on collective commitment and professionalism. “May I implore all to put their hands on the saddle and bring your inherent capacity to bear in the discharge of designated functions, to enhance overall success. There shall be zero tolerance for excuses,” Pastor Cobham declared. The Commissioner assured that under his leadership, the Ministry will prioritise service delivery, effective communication of government policies, and the repositioning of state-owned media for optimal performance, in line with the “People First” agenda of the Governor Bassey Otu administration. Staff of the Ministry, in separate remarks on the handle, pledged their support and cooperation to the new Commissioner, describing him as a dynamic and proactive leader.
