The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State has dismissed as false a purported list circulating ahead of its State Congress scheduled for today, March 3, 2026.
In a press release issued on Tuesday, the party described the document as “entirely false and misleading,” stressing that it did not emanate from the party’s leadership.
The APC State Congress is slated to hold by 10:00 a.m. at the U J Esuene Stadium.
State Publicity Secretary, Hon. Emmanuel Edem Inyang, JP, who signed the statement, said the circulation of the alleged list was a deliberate attempt to create confusion and undermine the integrity and unity of the party.
“The Party wishes to categorically state that the said list is entirely false and misleading. It did not emanate from the Party and should be regarded as a deliberate attempt to cause confusion and undermine the integrity and unity of our great Party,” the statement read.
The party urged members, stakeholders, and the general public to disregard the document in its entirety and rely only on official communications from the recognized leadership of the APC in the state.
Reaffirming its commitment to due process, the party assured members that the State Congress would be conducted in line with established guidelines and democratic principles.
