C'River Enhances Technical Education with the Supply of New Equipment

In a groundbreaking initiative  to uplift technical education i n Cross River State, the government, under the Leadership  o f Senator Bassey E d e t Otu, h a s initiated a transformative  step by merging several ministries into the newly established Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation.

 

This strategic move aims to modernize the educational landscape of the state, ensuring that students are equipped with skills relevant in today’s fast-paced world. Since its official launch on May 2 9 ,  2 0 2 3 ,  t h e  Ministry h a s made remarkable  strides ,

particularly in enhancing the l e a r n i n g environment in technical schools.

The government announced a significant upgrade to the thee oldest technical schools in the state with the acquisition of  cutting edge cooling and refrigeration equipment.

This upgrade is not merely a facility improvement; it signifies a broader commitment to implementing a revamped curriculum designed to align with global educational standards.

In an exciting  development, the ministry has forged partnerships with various national and international organizations which has proven to ba a game-changer for Cross River’s educational sector.

Among these partnerships, a notable collaboration with Cool Plus Nigeria Limited and the Federal Ministry of Environment has resulted in an impressive infusion of resources bringing in multi- million Naira worth equipment at no cost to the state.

The generosity of  these organizations underscores a collective committment to bolstering technical edeucation and providing students with hands-on practical skills in modern tecnologiest   “This is just the beginning , ” remarked Senator Otu at the recent launch event. “Our goal is to not only provide students with technical skills but to also inspire a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within o u r communities.

With the right tools and mindset, we can create future leaders and skilled professionals who will drive the state and country forward.”

The excitement in the air is palpable among educators and students alike. Many are optimistic about the future envisioning a more robust technical education system that prepares them for careers that are in high demand both locally and internationally.
