C'River Gov't Orders Arrest of Petrol Black Market Dealers, Cautions IPMAN Against Illegal Corroboration

Cross River State government has banned black market profiteering and petrol
product diversion by marketers.

Besides, the government has ordered arrest of illegal dealers, warning against illegal collaboration by some members of Independent Petrol Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN).

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Oil & Gas Mr. Ukpong Umoh Jr. who disclosed this in a statement expressed dismay that some fuel outlets within the state have blatantly refused to adhere to the warnings of Government to desist from black market profiteering and petrol product diversion.

According to Imoh, "as a responsible and proactive government, the governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Edet Otu, has directed immediate stoppage of all roadside sales of PMS."

He called on independent marketers and fuelling station owners stop forthwith the sales of PMS to individuals with jerry cans.

He said government have directed  Security agents to collaborate with the office of the Special Adviser, Oil and Gas to arrest all defaulters and bring perpetuators to book.
