The Cross River State Hausa-Fulani Muslim Community has received its Certificate of Registration as a Support Group in the State marking a significant milestone as an official support group for the State Governor, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu's re-election bid for a second term in office come 2027
The Certificate was presented to the Leadership of the Group during the Community's 3rd meeting held at 520 Event Centre Calabar, with the theme "Unity and Togetherness", and was attended by members from Bogobiri and Nasarawa Hausa-Fulani Communities in Calabar Metropolis.
Speaking while presenting the certificate ,Special Adviser ,Support Group, Mr. Clement, and Special Adviser Religious Matters, Apostle Frank Umo, lauded the Hausa-Fulani Muslim Community for their unflinching support to Governor Otu , adding that their recognition as one of the Support Groups will further solidify the Community's backing for Governor Otu to win a second term.
Sarki Hausa -Fulani and Muslim Community Leader, Sarki Garba Lawal, praised the leadership for their efforts and urged for loyalty, transparency, and inclusiveness, emphasizing that the Support Group's commitment to the administration, reinforcing the community's dedication to unity and backing for Governor Otu's agenda.
The meeting was a show of solidarity, with members turning out in large numbers to demonstrate their support for the administration of Governor Bassey Edet Otu.
