The Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, has been honoured with the prestigious Most Outstanding Deputy Governor of the Year award by the Global Achievers Award (GAA).
The award presentation, which took place at the NAF Conference Centre in Abuja, was in recognition of his exceptional leadership, dedication to public service, and valuable contributions to nation-building.
Receiving the award on behalf of the Deputy Governor, the Special Adviser on Liaison Office Abuja, Mrs. Sarah Archibong, alongside the Special Adviser on National Assembly Matters, Hon. Chris Mbu-Ogar, expressed deep appreciation to the organizers of the Global Achievers Award. They described the honour not merely as a celebration of past achievements, but as a compelling call to action for the Deputy Governor to intensify efforts toward the progress of Cross River State and the nation at large.
The representatives noted that the recognition reflects the strides of the Governor Bassey Otu led-administration, emphasizing that the state continues to enjoy a renewed sense of transformation under the "People First" mandate and the "Season of Sweetness".
Highlighting the broader national significance of the recognition, they remarked that the award serves as a reminder to Nigerian youths that the country is in earnest search of quality, visionary leadership.
