The Special Adviser to Governor Bassey Otu on Projects/Programmes Monitoring and Evaluation (DPPME), Mr Rapheal Murphy, has expressed satisfaction with the spate and level of work done by contractors handling the construction of ultra-modern Local Government Civil Service building.

The Special Adviser who visited the construction site in the company of staff of the Department of Projects/Programmes Monitoring and Evaluation expressed delight in the quality of materials used by the contractors.

While assessing the level of the project, Murphy commended the contractors and his engineers for following the project specifications and further urged them to finish the work on time as stipulated on the terms of the award of the contract.

Conducting the team round the project for inspection, the Lead Engineer of the contracting firm handling the project, Engr. Iman Maiwada assured of their commitment to work in line with the contractual agreement.

According to Engr. Maiwada, when completed, the new Local Government Service building would compete with its counterparts across the country considering its worth and size.

The project which includes state-of-the-art fittings and installation, is more than 90% completed, according to the contractors.

Recall that Governor Bassey Otu, during his inauguration in 2023, expressed his determination to bring about positive changes to the face of Cross River State with his enormous developmental projects, considering the level of drawbacks in terms of infrastructural projects compared with neighbouring states as well as the entire nation.
