Hon. Dr. Undiandeye, Extends ₦550,000 Lifeline to Ailing Indigene from Lagos To Calabar

The Chairman of Obudu Local Government Area, Hon. Dr. Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, has once again demonstrated compassionate and responsive leadership with a generous financial intervention totaling ₦550,000 in support of Mr. Victor , an indigene of Kakum, Obudu LGA, who has been receiving care from Lagos until he arrived Psychiatric Hospital Calabar.

The Chairman who was first alerted to Victor’s condition immediately the case surfaced on social media, showed sustained interest and personal concern and closely following developments and offering timely assistance.

Initially, the Chairman approved and released ₦100,000 to support Victor’s transportation back to Calabar for medical attention. As the situation progressed and hope began to wane due to the rising medical bill amounting to ₦399,000, the Chairman intervened once more, this time approving an additional ₦450,000 to fully cover the outstanding medical expenses.

This intervention brings the total support from the Chairman to ₦550,000, a gesture that has brought renewed hope to the family and all those following Victor’s recovery journey.

While expressing gratitude for the successful intervention, beneficiaries and well wishers acknowledged that God remains the ultimate source of healing, returning all glory to His name and praying for continued recovery for Victor Calabar.

The Chairman, through his actions, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the welfare of Obudu people, particularly in moments of urgent need.

The Chairman has been praised for his prompt and continued humane responses as he assures the public that the Obudu LGA leadership remains dedicated to the wellbeing of its citizens.
