Consistent with the newly formed Ikom-Boki-Obubra-Etung (IBOE) Alliance, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward Executive of Agbokim-Obi Ward in Cross River State has declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Bassey Edet Otu and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Ward Chairman, Mr Agbor Gregory, made the declaration on Wednesday when the ward executive and other stakeholders visited the Secretary to the Cross River State Government, Prof. Anthony Owan-Enoh, at his residence.
Gregory pledged to mobilise members across the length and breadth of Agbokim-Obi Ward in support of the APC and work towards securing victory for the party and its candidates at all levels in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on behalf of the Great Progressive Team of Agbokim-Obi, Engr. Lincoln Nneayeba Ekuri Njor commended the SSG for projects being executed in the ward, pledging the group’s continued loyalty and support.
Njor assured the SSG that members of the group would remain available whenever their services were needed, while expressing support for his leadership.
Also speaking on behalf of the Ekugatai people, a former councillor, Hon. Emmanuel Egai Etta, pledged support for the administration of Governor Otu and the leadership of Prof. Owan-Enoh.
Responding, the SSG welcomed the delegation, saying the executive committee had started on a strong note.
Owan-Enoh said supporting the second-term bid of Governor Otu, the administration of President Tinubu and other APC candidates was the way to go, urging the stakeholders to work across the ward towards their emergence in the forthcoming elections.
He assured the delegation of his continued support and encouraged them to remain committed to the growth and development of the party at the grassroots.
