The Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Council, Hon. Dr. Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, KSM, has extended warm felicitations to all women across Obudu and beyond as the world marks International Women’s Day.
In a goodwill message sent to the media, the Chairman described women as the backbone of families, communities, and society at large. He acknowledged the immense contributions of women in nurturing homes, building communities, promoting peace, and driving sustainable development.
Dr. Undiandeye noted that the resilience, strength, and dedication demonstrated by women in all spheres of life continue to inspire progress and unity within the Obudu Local Government Area. He emphasized that the council remains committed to supporting initiatives that empower women, promote gender equality, and create opportunities for women to thrive.
“As we celebrate this special day, I commend the women of Obudu for their unwavering commitment to family values, community growth, and nation building. Your sacrifices, wisdom, and leadership remain invaluable to our collective progress,” he stated.
The Chairman further encouraged women to continue to be agents of positive change while assuring them of the council’s continuous support in advancing their welfare and development.
