The Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Council, Hon. Dr. Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, KSM, has reassured residents that his administration will remain firmly focused on grassroots development in the New Year.
In his New Year message to the people of Obudu, the Chairman said 2026 would be a year of renewed dedication to people-oriented governance, with priority given to projects and policies that directly impact rural communities. He emphasized that sustainable development at the grassroots remains the cornerstone of his administration’s vision.
Hon. Dr. Undiandeye noted that the Council will continue to invest in critical sectors such as rural infrastructure, agriculture, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment, with the aim of improving livelihoods and stimulating economic growth across wards and communities.
He urged residents to remain supportive and actively participate in governance, stressing that meaningful development can only be achieved through collective effort and unity of purpose. The Chairman also called on the people of Obudu to continue to support the Cross River State Governor, Senator Prince Bassey Otu, and the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that sustained support for leadership at all levels is vital for accelerated development.
The Chairman further expressed gratitude to traditional rulers, community leaders, stakeholders, and residents for their cooperation in the past year, assuring them that the Obudu Local Government Council will continue to pursue inclusive policies that promote peace, progress, and prosperity.
He wished the people of Obudu a peaceful, prosperous, and productive New Year, reaffirming that his administration would remain responsive to the needs and aspirations of the grassroots.
