Nigeria's Sports Minister Congratulates Cross River-born Egba On Historical Feat As FIFA-Badged Referee

Nigeria's Minister of Sports Development, Sen. John Owan Enoh has congratulated Cross River-born Patrick Egba on his remarkable appointment as referee by the Federation of International Football Associations, FIFA, the global football governing body.

Commending Egba for his commitment to the round leather game, which he said has led to such worthy accomplishment, the Minister expressed optimism that Egba, a native of Ikom local government area of Cross River State, would make positive impact in his new role.

Sen. Enoh further posited that Egba's achievement speaks eloquently to the growing sports culture in Cross River state, while relishing on the Cross Riverian's capacity to bring honour to the state on the global soccer stage.

Patrick Egba, who has made history as the sole FIFA-Badge referee from Cross River State, has continued to receive plaudits for his dedication to the sport.

The elated Egba expressed gratitude to the Minister of Sport Development, and acknowledged the pivotal role the minister plays in deepening sports development in Nigeria, particularly in Cross River state.

Continuing, Egba said Sen. Enoh's continuous support and guidance would remain invaluable throughout his journey in the world of sports.
