The Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Area, Hon. (Amb.) Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, KSM, has been formally decorated as Patron of the Calabar Municipal Battalion Council of the Boys’ Brigade, Cross River State Council.
The conferment ceremony, held over the weekend at the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Old Town Parish, Calabar, attracted members of the Boys’ Brigade, church leaders/members, government officials, family, friends, and other distinguished honorees.
Explaining the choice of Hon. Undiandeye, the leadership of the Boys’ Brigade described him as a shining example of discipline, faith, and community service. They noted his consistent support for youth development and moral reorientation, stressing that his values align with the mission of the Brigade to raise responsible and God-fearing young men.
In his acceptance remarks, Hon. Undiandeye, represented by George Agianpuye, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the honor, dedicating the recognition to the youth of Cross River State.
“This recognition is not just about me but about the values we all must uphold, faith, discipline, and service. Investing in the boy-child ministry is an investment in the future. I pledge to continue supporting the Boys’ Brigade and to work with its leadership in empowering our young people to become productive citizens and leaders of tomorrow,” he said.
The highlight of the occasion was the formal presentation of the Battalion Patron Medallion, the Patronship Plaque, and the Patrons’ Handbook to Hon. Undiandeye, marking his official induction as Patron of the Calabar Municipal Battalion Council.
