The chairman of Obudu, LGA has extended his warm congratulations to Major General EAP Undiandeye for his retention as Chief Of Defense Intelligence.
In his statement released to the media on Friday, Hon (Amb) Peter Akonfe Undiandeye sends his warm congratulations to all newly appointed service chiefs especially the Obudu born Chief Of Defense Intelligence Major General EAP who happens to be his elder brother, I trust your diligent judgment right from home and know you shall continue to make us proud on your retention.
“On behalf of the people of Obudu Local Government Area, I warmly congratulate Major General Undiandeye on the confirmation of his continuation as Chief of Defence Intelligence. This is a deserved recognition of his commitment, integrity and service to our nation.
“We are proud that his outstanding record in the Nigerian Army brings honour not only to himself but for Obudu LGA and our dear state. His retention at this high office underscores the confidence the federal government places in his leadership and the trust we, as his people, have always held in him.
“We believe that his continuity in this strategic post will further strengthen national security, enhance the role of intelligence in safeguarding our country, and inspire the younger generation in Obudu and across Cross River State to aim high. We look forward to seeing his further contributions in service of our nation.
“Once again, congratulations to Major General EAP Undiandeye, and may his tenure in this office be marked by success, peace and increased development for our homeland. We also call on all residents of Obudu to join in celebrating his achievement and to support him in fulfilling his duties.”
The Chairman also urged community leaders and youths in Obudu to leverage the appointment as a rallying point for communal development and education, saying that “such high level representation must translate into opportunities and improvements for our people.”
The council’s Helmsman also expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for finding Major General Undiandeye worthy of retention and for carrying the people of Obudu along in his administration’s vision of inclusive governance and national service.
