Osogi Urges Staff to Embrace Diligence, Faith in Service

The Cross River State Commissioner for Environment, Obol Moses Osogi, has called on staff of the Ministry to demonstrate greater dedication and diligence in the discharge of their duties and in service to God.

The Commissioner made the appeal during the Ministry’s June edition of its Solemn Assembly, held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Ministry’s premises.

Speaking at the prayer meeting, Hon. Osogi emphasized the need for staff to remain focused and committed to their responsibilities. He urged them to put their faith into action, noting that faith without practice yields no results.

Osogi further stressed the importance of consistency and active participation in the monthly Solemn Assembly, which he described as a dedicated time set aside by the Ministry to seek God’s guidance and acknowledge Him as the source of its strength and success.

According to the Commissioner, the Solemn Assembly has become an integral part of the Ministry’s culture and spiritual growth. While encouraging staff to maintain a positive attitude at all times, he commended them for their cooperation, hard work, and contributions toward the advancement of the Ministry.

Ministering on the topic, “The Efficacy of the Word,” the guest minister, Joseph Ogon, explained that the Word of God quickens and empowers believers. He noted that consistent meditation on God’s Word brings life, illumination, and transformation. He highlighted the benefits of studying the Word of God to include clarity of purpose, creativity, self-reflection, a deeper relationship with God, and the development of godly character.

Special prayer sessions were offered, including thanksgiving for the month of June; prayers for peace and security in Nigeria; prayers for the Governor and his family, government officials; as well as prayers for the Commissioner for Environment, management, and staff of the Ministry. The programme featured praise and worship, personal supplication, and intercessory prayers.
