C' River Ministry of Establishments Takes Major Step in Digital Governance with New Database Center

The Cross River State Ministry of Establishments, Training, and Pensions has officially assumed control of its new database center in Calabar, a pivotal move in the State Government's ongoing efforts to enhance digital governance and service delivery.

The formal handover ceremony, held at the Ministry's premises, New Secretariat in Calabar, marks the beginning of a new era in digital transformation in the Minstry.

Speaking during a symbolic exchange of project documents and equipment, signifying the transfer of ownership to the Ministry, the Commissioner for Establishments, Training, and Pensions, Mrs. Lawrencia Ita, praised the partnering company for their professionalism, commitment, and quality of work throughout the project.

“This initiative represents a significant milestone in our modernization efforts and underscores the State Government's commitment to leveraging technology for effective governance, innovation, and improved service delivery,” said Mrs. Ita.

Speaking before handing over the facility, Chief Ekpenyong Eyo, CEO of Logical Operations Limited, expressed gratitude to the State Government for the opportunity to collaborate on this project, which aims to enhance administrative efficiency through technology.

He reaffirmed his company's dedication to supporting the State's digital transformation agenda.

In her part, Mary James Ugbem, the Director of Procurement, also addressed attendees, emphasizing the Ministry's commitment to creating a more efficient, transparent, and digitally empowered public service.

She highlighted that the new ICT facilities would improve data management, streamline pension processes, and enhance capacity development within the State's civil service.
