City Boy Movement Inaugurates LGA Chapters in Cross River North

The Cross River State Chapter of the City Boy Movement has inaugurated its Local Government Area (LGA) chapters in Obanliku, Obudu and Bekwarra, as part of efforts to strengthen its grassroots structures and mobilise support ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The separate inauguration ceremonies featured the unveiling of the movement’s LGA, ward and polling unit structures, as well as the official opening of its LGA secretariat to facilitate coordination, mobilisation and sustained engagement with supporters at the grassroots.

Speaking at the events, the State Director of the movement, Hon. Eyo Ita, charged the newly inaugurated executives to take the message of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to every ward and polling unit across the state.

He emphasised the importance of sustained grassroots engagement, effective mobilisation and commitment to the movement’s objectives, urging the executives to work towards expanding its presence and strengthening its structures across Cross River State.

Also speaking, the Cross River North Coordinator of the movement, Barr. Paul Ishabo, said the inauguration was aimed at consolidating support for President Tinubu and Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Otu, while mobilising voters for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Ishabo urged the newly inaugurated executives to demonstrate dedication and unity in carrying out their responsibilities, stressing the need to deepen the movement’s grassroots presence and broaden the party’s support base in their respective local government areas.

He further called on the executives to sustain contact with supporters and potential voters, noting that effective grassroots organisation and mobilisation would be vital to the movement’s preparations for the forthcoming elections.

The inauguration tour will continue on Wednesday with the inauguration of the movement’s chapters in Ogoja and Yala Local Government Areas before proceeding to the Central Senatorial District on Thursday.
