C'River Carnival Commission Partners with Nugi Technologies Nig. Ltd and Wikimedia to Boost Creative Economy

In a significant move to bolster the digital footprint of Cross River State’s creative economy, the Chairman of the State Carnival Commission, Dr. Gabe Onah, hosted a high-level collaboration visit featuring key leaders from the tech and open-knowledge sectors.

​The meeting followed the successful Late Capt. P.K. Bello Foundation seminar, an event dedicated to empowering the creative sector in Cross River State.

The seminar was capped off by a commemorative photo walk marking the 10th anniversary of the late Captain’s passing, highlighting his enduring legacy in the West Africa. Sub region in motivating youth empowerment in the Orange economy sector .

​This visit brought together a powerhouse of expertise aimed at merging authentic culture , heritage , and story telling with modern technology. The chairman reiterated the place of the creative economy and Tourism as a low hanging fruit and platform for job creation to change lives.

He commended some of the graduates and Alumni of the foundation who are excelling in the sector and were back to share their experiences as succinct case studies for others to emulate :
