Ekpang Promises Equitable Distribution of Infrastructure in Central Senatorial District

Cross River State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Eramus Ekpang, has assured the people of the Central District of equitable distribution of infrastructure and social amenities across the state.

Ekpang made this commitment during a courtesy visit from the socio-political group “Voice of Cross River Central” at his office on Tuesday.

He emphasized that the Governor Otu-led administration, which prioritizes the well-being of the people, is focused on ensuring that every resident feels a genuine sense of belonging.

As the newly appointed patron of the support group, Ekpang attributed the successes recorded in the state and the emergence of Governor Otu to what he termed a divine mandate.

He encouraged the group to promote the accomplishments of the people-centric administration across various sectors of life and assured them that efforts would continue to engage the youth in meaningful vocational training.

While expressing gratitude for the group’s support for the second term bid of His Excellency, Senator Bassey Otu, Ekpang praised the Governor's commitment to serving the people and highlighted his significant efforts to transform the socio-economic landscape of the state since taking office.

Earlier, during the awarding ceremony for the Commissioner, the Director General of the group, Ambassador Victor Bassey, expressed his appreciation for the appointment.

He quoted Wole Soyinka, stating, “When the central is not strong, things fall apart,” and assured the state governor of their readiness to campaign for his second term.

Regarding Ekpang’s designation as patron of the group, Bassey noted that the Commissioner was carefully selected due to a thorough review of his political profile.

He commended Senator Prince Bassey Otu for the significant strides made across the state, especially in the central district, and urged him to continue these efforts by making further appointments.

Ambassador Victor Bassey also called for greater unity within the central district and encouraged the Commissioner to leverage his position to bring the community together, emphasizing their shared interests and aspirations.
