The Feed a Hungry Child with Briana Foundation (FAHCWB) has reinforced its sustained commitment to child welfare and educational development with a follow-up outreach to Bebuabong Community Primary School in Obudu, Cross River State.

During the visit, which took place on July 2, the Foundation distributed essential learning materials including notebooks, reasoning textbooks, and socks to more than 100 pupils of the school, in a renewed effort aimed at improving learning conditions and supporting pupils from underserved communities.

Beyond the distribution of educational materials, members of the FAHCWB team engaged the pupils in an interactive session centered on three core life values; ambition, confidence, and kindness. The session was designed to inspire the children to cultivate positive character traits that will support their personal development and academic success.

The outreach also provided an opportunity for the Foundation to interface with the school’s management, where progress made since its previous visit was reviewed. Discussions were also held on strategies to deepen impact and expand support initiatives within the school community in the coming months.

Speaking after the exercise, the Founder of FAHCWB, Barr. Briana Akpagu, described the intervention as part of a continuous engagement rather than a one-off charitable activity.

“For us, this isn’t a one-time gesture. It’s a relationship we’re building, one visit at a time,” she said. “FAHCWB remains dedicated to alleviating the effects of food insecurity, poverty, climate change, and social injustice on women and children, and we’re only getting started.”

She further emphasized the need for sustained partnerships in addressing child welfare challenges, noting that every child deserves the opportunity to learn without the burden of hunger or deprivation.

“Every child deserves the chance to learn without hunger holding them back, and every community deserves partners who stay committed beyond a single day,” she added.

Barr. Akpagu also called on members of the public, development partners, and well-meaning individuals to support the Foundation’s ongoing mission to improve access to education and enhance the wellbeing of children across communities.

The FAHCWB reaffirmed its commitment to continued engagement with schools and vulnerable communities, with plans to scale up its interventions in the coming months.
