The Renewed Hope Ambassadors Coordinator for Boki Local Government Area, Hon. Victor Ofum Agbor, has hailed the mentorship of the State Coordinator, Ambassador Soni Abang, pledging to build on his guidance to ensure strong delivery of the Renewed Hope mandate in Boki.
Agbor spoke at the maiden meeting between Ambassador Abang and the 18 Local Government Coordinators held in Calabar, where he expressed deep appreciation for the confidence reposed in him, also reserving special praise for the State Chief of Protocol to the Governor, Hon. Sylvester Abang, for his support over the years.
He described Ambassador Abang as a longstanding mentor whose leadership has significantly shaped his political journey. According to him, he has grown under Abang’s tutelage and benefited from his experience and counsel over the years.
“I have been mentored graciously. I will lean on his fatherly guidance to ensure that I deliver on this very special mandate entrusted to me in Boki,” Agbor stated.
He recalled the longstanding relationship between his family and the State Coordinator, noting that Ambassador Abang had played supportive roles in his family’s public service journey dating back to his tenure as council chairman of Boki.
Describing his appointment as both an honour and a challenge, Agbor acknowledged the unique political landscape of Boki Local Government Area but expressed confidence that with unity, strategic engagement, and collective effort, the Renewed Hope agenda would gain firm grassroots footing.
He called on stakeholders and supporters in Boki to rally behind the initiative, stressing the importance of collaboration among coordinators across the state.
“Let us work together to ensure that this mandate is delivered intelligently,” he said, while thanking the leadership for finding him worthy to serve.
The meeting provided an opportunity for coordinators to align strategies for grassroots mobilisation in support of the Renewed Hope and People First agendas across Cross River State, formally setting the machinery in motion at the local government level.
