Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency (CRSPHCDA) organised an orientation programme to sensitize key stakeholders in preparation for the upcoming Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign.
The Director General of the Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency Dr Vivien Mesembe Otu, emphasised the importance of bringing stakeholders together to engage in collective planning and coordination ahead of the Vaccination Campaign, scheduled to take place on the 3rd -14th of February. She noted that such meetings provide an opportunity to align strategies, address potential challenges and ensure effective implementation at all levels.
Dr Vivien Otu, urged local government chairmen across the state to cooperate fully in other to ensure the success of the Vaccination Campaign. "The commitment and active involvement of local government authorities are crucial to achieve widespread coverage, strengthen grassroots mobilisation and deliver the vaccine efficiently to eligible children across all communities " she said
The State Health Education Officer, Mrs Nsa Ekpenyong outlined the objectives of the campaign. She stressed that effective social mobilisation and strong community engagements are key to achieve a successful Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccination Campaign across the state.
