In a statement issued in Calabar on Monday, Egbede said the recruitment presents a strategic opportunity for qualified Cross Riverians to secure employment and contribute to the growth of the nation’s maritime sector.

The NPA, in its official circular, extended a specific invitation to qualified indigenes of Cross River State to apply for various technical and operational roles. The vacancies span key areas including marine operations, engineering, radio communications, and port management.

Listed positions include Pilot Trainee, Marine Engineering Trainee, Trainee Seaman, Signalman-in-Training, Radio Officer II, Assistant Manager Radio, Marine Officer II, Senior Marine Officer/Engineer, and Assistant Manager Harbours.

Egbede advised eligible candidates who meet the stipulated qualifications and professional requirements to submit their applications online via the official NPA careers portal: *www.nigerianports.gov.ng/career* within the stipulated application period.

To facilitate documentation and follow-up, the Ministry directed applicants to also submit a printed copy of their online application to the Desk Officer in the Office of the Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Cross River State.

The Commissioner emphasized that the application process is entirely free of charge and cautioned the public against patronizing fraudsters.

"We urge all qualified Cross River indigenes to take advantage of this opportunity by applying promptly," Egbede stated. "This is a chance to contribute to the nation’s maritime sector and build a rewarding career."

He further noted that the Governor, Senator Prince Bassey Otu, remains committed to creating access to federal opportunities that will enhance the welfare and economic fortunes of Cross River people.
