Work has commenced on the remodeling of the main gate of the Calabar Campus of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), in a development expected to enhance the aesthetics, functionality and overall outlook of the University’s main entrance.
The remodeling project is being undertaken by Zenith Bank Plc as part of its support for the development of the University.
The intervention was facilitated through the efforts and advocacy of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Francisca Bassey, who has continued to pursue strategic partnerships with private-sector organisations to complement government efforts in advancing infrastructure and other critical needs of the institution.
The commencement of the project underscores the growing partnership between UNICROSS and the private sector and reflects the Vice Chancellor’s commitment to exploring innovative avenues for attracting resources and development opportunities to the University.
The initiative also demonstrates Prof. Bassey’s proactive leadership and determination to position UNICROSS for sustainable growth by building mutually beneficial relationships with corporate organisations.
Upon completion, the remodeled main gate is expected to provide a more befitting entrance to the University and further enhance the physical appearance of the institution.
The University community has expressed appreciation to Zenith Bank Plc for its valuable intervention and commended the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Francisca Bassey, for her continued efforts in attracting private-sector participation and strategic partnerships towards the development of UNICROSS.
