The Vice Chancellor of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), Prof. Francisca Bassey, has been conferred with the prestigious Professional Fellowship of the Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), in recognition of her contributions to the advancement of science, scholarship and academic development.
The fellowship was conferred on Prof. Bassey on Thursday, September 17, 2026, during the 49th Annual Chemical Society of Nigeria International Conference, Workshop and Exhibition held in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory.
The honour highlights the Vice Chancellor’s professional contributions and commitment to the promotion of scientific knowledge, particularly in the field of Chemistry, as well as her broader contributions to the advancement of higher education.
The conferment also adds to the growing recognition of Prof. Bassey’s academic leadership and professional accomplishments, while bringing further distinction to the University of Cross River State.
