The Department of Projects/Programmes, Monitoring and Evaluation (DPPME) and that of Budget Monitoring and Evaluation (DBME), as well as the Department of Public Transportation (DOPT), has gotten a new look through the transformation agenda of Gov. Bassey Otu tagged "Season Of Sweetness."
Recall that upon resumption of office, His Excellency Sen. Bassey Edet Otu immediately took off with fixing of roads and executing projects across the state, with many government offices being built, remodeled and upgraded to standard.
Some of the buildings and offices undergoing remodeling and upgrading by the Sweetness Governor includes; the governor's office, the state library, the presidential lodge, the governor and deputy governor's lodge, local government service commission, governor lodge GRA Ogoja to mention a few.
As the litany of projects continue to spread out from the fresh air that comes with the rain of season of sweetness, DPPME, DBME and that of the DOPT have also tasted the salt of sweetness from His Excellency's transformation agenda, and now takes a new face.
In a short interview with the Special Adviser to the governor on Projects/Programmes, Monitoring and Evaluation Mr. Raphael Murphy, he said this is just an iceberg from the many projects that are going to be executed by the Sweet Prince administration.
According to Murphy, Governor Otu has promised to complete all the projects inherited from the past administration and also give the state a facelift through new ones as part of effort to attract both local and foreign investors.
The Special Adviser concluded by saying, "I have always known the governor to be a man of his words.
"Cross Riverians are beginning to see the evidence from the ongoing projects, with some attaining between 50 percent to 99 percent completion, while others are completed and ready for commissioning,"
