In its continued efforts to maintain peace and security across Cross River State, particularly during the festive season, the Nigerian Police Force, Cross River State Command, has disclosed that it handled 320 criminal cases between January 1st and December 31st, 2024.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Gyogon Grimah, disclosed this during the command’s end-of-year media briefing held at the Force Headquarters in Calabar.
CP Grimah explained that out of the reported cases, 399 were successfully prosecuted and charged to court within the year under review, reflecting the command’s commitment to upholding law and order.
He emphasized that the command’s swift actions reflected its dedication to maintaining law and order across the state.
Highlighting the achievements of the command, CP Grimah stated that the success in crime prevention, detection, and control was largely due to the collaborative efforts of the police and other security agencies.
He expressed appreciation to sister organizations for their unwavering support in ensuring that Cross River State remained safe for residents and visitors alike.
The Commissioner also assured the public of the command’s readiness to intensify its operations to sustain peace and protect lives and property before, during, and after the yuletide season.
