The Yakurr Local Government Area contingent has emerged winner of the '2024 Central Senatorial District Carnival' held at Ikom local government area township Stadium. Cross River state.
Yakurr which competed with five other local government areas in the district including the host Ikom gave the most accurate and vivid interpretation of this year's Carnival theme, 'Our Shared Prosperity' through its cultural display to clinch the “2024 Central Senatorial District Carnival top position.
The Carnival witnessed a rich display of culture and artifacts as competing LGAs tried to interpret the 2024 theme, “Our Shared Prosperity.”
The competing local governments areas were , Boki, Etung, Ikom, Obubra, Abi and the winning local government Yakurr.
