The Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Council, Hon. Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, Ph.D., KSM, joined the Cross River State Governor, HE Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, who was ably represented by his Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Dr. Peter Odey, alongside other government functionaries, in welcoming Foreign Defence Advisers/Attachés accredited to Nigeria to the Obudu Ranch Resort for a geographical and cultural tour.
The event brought together the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Anthony Owan-Enoh, top government officials, the leadership of the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA), and members of the diplomatic community. Also in attendance was the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Lieutenant General EAP Undiandeye, who was ably represented by the The outgoing Director of Foreign Liaison of the Defence Intelligence Agency, Major General O. A. Adegbe, who received and hosted the foreign defence representatives as part of activities aimed at showcasing the unique geographical features, cultural heritage, and tourism potential of Cross River State while strengthening international military cooperation and defence diplomacy.
Hon. Undiandeye described the visit as a significant opportunity to project the rich tourism assets and cultural heritage of Obudu to the international community while deepening strategic partnerships that promote peace, security, and mutual understanding. He commended the leadership of the Defence Intelligence Agency for facilitating the visit and reaffirmed the commitment of the Government and people of Obudu Local Government Area to supporting initiatives that foster national unity, international cooperation, and sustainable development.
