The Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Council, Hon. Dr. Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, KSM, has called on youths of Obudu Local Government Area to take advantage of the Cross River State EV Tech Cohort 1 Training Programme, a fully funded initiative aimed at equipping young people with cutting-edge skills in Electric Vehicle (EV) Technology and Tricycle Coupling.
The Chairman described the programme as a timely intervention by the Cross River State Government to prepare young people for emerging opportunities in the rapidly expanding global e-mobility and renewable energy sector. He noted that the initiative aligns with the administration’s commitment to youth empowerment, innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic development.
According to Hon. Undiandeye, the training presents a rare opportunity for interested youths to acquire practical skills in EV diagnostics and repairs, electric tricycle coupling, preventive maintenance, safety protocols, and the business aspects of e-mobility, all at no cost to participants. He emphasized that beneficiaries will also receive industry-recognized certification and stand a chance of accessing employment opportunities, entrepreneurial support, and integration into the state’s EV maintenance network upon completion.
The Chairman therefore encouraged qualified youths between the ages of 18 and 35, particularly those with backgrounds in mechanical or electrical engineering and automotive-related fields, to apply before the closing date of 22nd June, 2026. He urged them not to miss the opportunity to position themselves for the future of transportation and technology.
Interested applicants can submit their applications through the official portal:
